I was looking for an auto pilot system for my 32 DA. Raymarines website states that the s1000 is only good up to 25 ft boats. I am not sure why this wouldnt work on a slightly larger boat like mine. The system basicly controls the steering system which has power assist allready. FYI I have outdrives vs. inboards.

It will likely work a lot of the time, but with a reduced lifespan and certainly not when it gets rough. You should call Raymarine and read between the lines of what they tell you. Your boat is obviously outside of the scope of this thing, but perhaps they'll give you some insight on what to expect without making any commitments.
