Raymarine Open Array vs. Radome

I don't look at it like I'm getting a freebie. It wasn't obvious to me that the radar wasn't included, as it wasn't to my sales guy who's been in the business for 20 years, many of them with MM. If it was clear, I would have negotiated it into the purchase of the boat, and it would be on the boat right now.

Thanks for the mounting tips. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, along with the other items on the 'punch list'.

Thanks to all for your advice. They finally got the open array installed, and I get to check it out this weekend. They even built a mount, and placed the R2D2 on top, the right way.

I'm glad I fought for the good one.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the obvious cool look factor that comes with the open array. It's also obvious when the unit unit is on so everyone will know when to wear their protective aluminum foil hats.
