Hello,

I finally got around to installing a DSC radio and wiring it it my E7D via the NEMA 1 I/O.

I'm positive wiring is correct as the radio displays the GPS Coordinates and when DSC messages are recieved I can see the messages in the NEMA 1 Buffer as Recieved.

The E7D just doesnt seem to be doing anything with those messages! DSC Alerts are ON, so it should.

For example, when I recieve a position report it shows recipt of

$CDDSC,20,3160239460,00,21,26,1421508154,2151,,,S,
$CDDSE,1,1,A,3160239470,00,60546995*1F

but the E7D doesn't display a message or waypoint the way other plotters do.

Am I missing somthing here?

Incase it matters, the radio is a Standard Horizon Eclipse+ DSC and was previously working correctly with with a Garmin MFD.

Update!

This is 100% a Raymarine Software Issue.

I can see a DSC Message if I make a Position Request on the radio, but not if the other party sends a position Position Report! Both sentences transfer to the MFD just fine, but the MFD does NOTHING with the Position Report info...after looking at it, coding seems to be NEMA Standard.
