Our Raymarine C80 isn't working properly. It's not finding or displaying the boat location. It shows as 'no fix' on the display. We checked the connection in the dash and it looks ok. I'm presuming this might have something to do with a connection in the antenna. All appears ok on the outside of the antenna so I'm thinking it's inside the antenna or wherever the wires run from the antenna to the display unit. Any advice on what to do, where/how to check the connection would be greatly appreciated.

I had the Raystar120 antenna on my 2004 and it had a design issue which filled a buffer giving the no fix. Resolution was to cut power to the antenna to reset it, by turning off the battery switch on the boat.

I have the exact same problem, but with a 1250 but the same antenna. How long does it take to reset itself? I’ve checked all the wiring and it too looks all good. I’d love it if this would fix it!

I would turn it off for 30 seconds. Worked every time. Power is always on to the antenna so it's always pulling in new data. After a while (sometimes days, sometimes weeks) it fills up its buffer and locks up.

if you search Raystar 120 you will come up with a lot of info....I tried the "reset" route with mine but it was toast - luckily, a friend had just upgraded and gave me his raystar 125 (a better unit) the bad news is a compatible aentenna is no longer made, so if yours is bad your kinda screwed

My GPM antenna is also wired through a switch. I rarely get the "No Fix" error but the switch sure makes the GPS reset easy.

The only time I see no fix on my Raymarine is when I am in my boathouse...
