Does anyone know where you could possibly pick up a used RM C70 plotter? The boat we're picking up has all of the brackets, cables, and antenna but someone stole the plotter out of the boat.

I'd consider replacing it with the same thing or finding something that is compatible to drop in its place. I don't want to have to unmount the existing bracket and potentially have to look at unsightly holes.

Thanks!

I'll keep looking there. Was curious if there was any other potentials that the boat community knew of. Thanks.

DaleM, I have seen them on ebay as mentioned but also on Craigslist.

Note: If you have the Raymarine radar, you can not go with a newer Raymarine display. They are not compatible... So, I would keep looking. I loved my C70 with Radar and GPS. It worked great. Well worth the time to wait and see if one pops up...

Recently, there was a sale for those that turned their old units in for newer ones. You may want to check the local marine stores for those. I know the new displays are running around $1000 so it may be worthwhile to check that source as well. I have not looked recently but we have a couple of used equipment marine stores in Seattle. Try PMing Todd (Nehallenia) to check to see if they have them...

Thanks, I'll check around. This boat does not have the radar, only the GPS.

I tried the ID you mentioned above and it came back not found. I'll see what I can dig up.

Phantom Marine Online store in NewporT Beach , Ca says they still have new ones in stock. Don't know if this helps but I thought i would let you know.

The C70 is not an "old" model, and if you had the radar, it would be compatible with the newer C-Series Wide. "Older" yes, but not "old"- it was just taken out of production for the new Wide series. The pathfinder radar series that worked with the "old" RL series would not be compatible.

I believe (but am not certain) that the power cord would be compatible with any of the "C Series" plotters- C70, C80, or C120. No problem with the Raystar gps receiver, it will be compatible with all of them. Changing out the bracket if you need to for another model is no big deal, seal the old holes with some silicone and mount the new bracket over them...

Suggest you call our sponsor Jim @ BOE- he may be able to hook you up with a non-current model or a reman. I purchased two remans from him (C80 and E80) and both have worked flawlessly, at a significantly reduced price from "new".

I appreciate it. I was able to find one on ebay that has been great. Now I'm pondering the fish sounder since it's out of the water :)

Installing used Raymarine parts to complete a system is fine.

I would not install a complete new Raymarine system today. The company is not on sound financial grounds.

I’m even factoring in that many other companies are having a hard time.

Raymarine cannot continue without an infusion of cash or finding a buyer.
