Raymarine A Series - Fuel Flow

I have an a68 that I would like to monitor fuel flow with. My understanding is I should be able to use any NMEA2000 Fuel Flow sender hooked up to a backbone and then converted to SeatalkNG into the unit. Can anyone confirm that? A better way to get fuel flow? The engines are older (98 Merc 350 EFI's) so i dont think direct interfacing with the engines will work.
