Raymarine Radar

I bought a 2003 380 Dancer and the radar doesn't spin. I knew that the previous owner had it moved on a truck and the radar was removed for transport then reinstalled. I opened it up as I suspected, the wires were still disconnected. They were all color coded so I connected them. The radar still doesn't turn. I checked the 15 amp fuse at the helm and it's good, and I also checked that I have 12vdc coming out of the fuse- and I do. But, I don't seem to have 12vdc up at the radar. Is there a switch (besides the one on the rada itself) that turns the radar on? I turned on the Auto Pilot, Electronics, and the Radar screen. Is there anything else that I'm missing?

My antenna has an on-off switch on the back of the unit. Just a black weatherproof toggle.

There is a split cable for that unit. Make sure you are getting the proper voltage @ the unit. Call raymarine if you have to they will help you. Just know your info on everything you have before you call.

Re: Raymarine Radar

The toggle switch is on.

There are 2 red positive and 2 black negative wires. I only checked one set because I assumed the wires were paralleled to split the current. I should of checked both but I'm fairly certain it's not getting power.

Re: Raymarine Radar

Found it. The big white cable coming down from the transducer to the unit fell out of the unit. Someone didn't tighten the twist locking collar. Good thing because the power wires were laying in the housing touching ground. Sometimes things happen for a reason I guess.
