Hi All
Hoping someone can help.
I have a 2006 280/315 Sundancer and am having trouble calling out sometimes, receiving sometimes also. It has a mind of its own. The microphine cord (plastic coating) is falling apart which is common on these units so i should replace the hole unit anyway.
Questions is
. Is there a VHF out there that fits the cut out perfectly?
. Do you think its the areal that is affecting the transmitting? ( is there a process of elimination to check this to rule out the VHF or areal?

Thanks in advance

Probably not worth fixing. I would search for a new one to fit where you have the old one. My trust is fading with Raymarine. Since Flair bought them out they say nothing can be fixed.

My Ray215 is factory original installed in 2001. When I bought the boat a few years ago the mic didn't work as several wires were broken off inside the connector. I sent the mic off to Raymarine for repair and it came back looking and working like new. I still use it. It did take 3 weeks to get it repaired. Cost was $75.
