Any reason you want to stick with Raymarine for your VHF?

Only reason I want to stick with RM is because it will fit in the existing hole!!!!!! Otherwise I'd go with Standard Horizon!

Do you really want to spend the same money as a Porsche costs to get a Hyundai? (Hey look Gary. Mac spell check in Safari knows how to spell Hyundai!) The Ray VHFs are mediocre performers, but cost as much as top line performers like Icom and Standard.

I replaced a Ray 210 with a 215 on my 260 - bad decision - the same size radio used a different kit. The 215 is a sub par radio. I had a uniden on my first boat and thought it was actually better.
