Ray marine northstar NS100 on searay sundancer 310 2007

Anyone with a 2007 310 SD had to replace the VHF radio that came with the boat? Give me a shout and let me know the brand and model you went with.

Hey I received some input on replacing my radio from Marinemax, they suggested Raymarine 260, speaker is abit smaller, would need a little trim work. Marinemax quoted me a grand. Radio still operates, it just looks bad, I thought I'd keep you posted

Simrad RS35.... great radio - and about $300-$340 NMEA 2000 and AIS for a price you can't beat.
Alternative Simrad RS90 for about $800,- again with AIS and NMEA 2000

Both also have option for wireless handsets with a 100m (300') range.

I went with a Garmin VHF300AIS.

I replaced mine with a Garmin standard size vhf flush mounted to the right of my smart craft screen. I hade a wood panel made with 4 rocker switches to cover the hole from speaker. It looks awesome and I can actually here the radio under way
