Why doesn't Sea Ray boats come with raw water pressurized system? It would be nice for hosing down the deck at sea?

Previous owner put one on my 270....nice for fresh water in my case, Mike.

I'll guess because a raw water wash down is mostly used for fishing.
Your Searay will fish but, you'll need to add some fishing extras...like a salt water wash down.

I think you have a fresh water wash down on deck.

400DB should have anchor wash-down (in the anchor locker) for the forward deck. I would think that even during fishing you bring the fish up from the stern. This is where you'd use stern wash-down (in the stern locker). Having 100gal FW tank should provide plenty of water.

No matter how you plan on using the sea water you should still rinse the boat with fresh water as a final step.

My Amberjack came with one, probably with an optional "fishing" package. We use it often since we boat in fresh clean Lake Huron water!!

Thanks for your replies guys , I like to troll just 2 lines when running at 8 knots which I find is the most fuel efficient speed on my boat.

Alex, is there an area of Bow that I can install a 100 gallon extra fuel tank? This would be great as I have not decided on the water maker. Yes it is important to rinse with fresh water after.

So should I install one in the stern?
