yes cheers for the reply i can get the access hatch to open as the pin has been replaced with a nut and bolt, i can lift the hatch by hand about four inches then it will not budgeI think this is also known as the 260DA?
Not sure what you're asking ....
Is the pin missing? Does the hatch lift work? If it doesn't work, are you looking to lift the hatch manually? Are you able to open the round 4" access hole?
sorry i misled you guys, the quick release pin has been replaced with a nut and bolt (the mind boggles)which is preventing me from getting access to the engine bay, somi have to try get an allen key to hopefully undo the nut and boltIf I'm understanding you correctly... the bolt/nut is not preventing you from lifting the hatch any further. The idea is that you can manually lift the hatch just enough to be able to reach in and pull the pin out and then lift the hatch the rest of the way. But, yes, like Phil said, any 'ol quick release pin will do the job.
Correct - that is exactly what I was trying to explain. The bolt doesn't prevent you from slightly lifting the hatch - just from "easily" removing it so you can lift the hatch the rest of the way. Obviously, you'll need to get in there with tools.sorry i misled you guys, the quick release pin has been replaced with a nut and bolt (the mind boggles)which is preventing me from getting access to the engine bay, somi have to try get an allen key to hopefully undo the nut and bolt
SOOOOO the nut and bolt are both spinning and the boat has learned a whole new version of Irish temper bad languageCorrect - that is exactly what I was trying to explain. But, as noted above, use the access plate to help. You can also remove the table base as a possible "extra" access plate.
Yes, it's not convenient with a nut/bolt - but it's still a pretty straight forward job so it shouldn't take you long, at all.
Of course it spins - there's nothing to hold the bolt since it's just a straight through hole. Somebody put it on there... which means it can come off.SOOOOO the nut and bolt are both spinning and the boat has learned a whole new version of Irish temper bad language
i have one access 100 mm diameter hole to work with which means i have to drill another hole to the right to get a screwdriver or whatever in the second hole
to wedge the nut to stop it from spinning. what a palava
there is no power to the hatch lift ,batteries are dead , as there is an electrical faultConfused .... is the electric hatch lift not working? so you have the access cover off, and you can reach in and pull up the hatch but only 4"?
