Raftup/Beach Spot between Sarasota and Venice

I'm renting a boat on Tuesday of this week and we're limited to the area between Venice and Sarasota on the ICW.

Does anyone have any good spots to anchor and hang out and relax in this area?

My usual area that we rent in is up near Anna Maria, so I'm thinking of something like the area around Jewfish Key or Beer Can Island.

Snake Island just inside the Venice Inlet. Just be careful of the current. It is a popular viewing spot for fireworks on the 4th, so go early on that day.

We've rented the boat on Tuesday, so won't have to worry about the fireworks on the 4th.

Snake Island was great! We anchored on the backside away from the inlet and walked through to the inlet side. Stunning views. We also spent some time at the very north end of Casey Key where you beach on the ICW side and walk to the gulf beach around marker 41. It was great too.

We had a great day on the water and I just love this part of Florida.
