I have a 94 Sundancer 300 that I'm trying to upgrade the Clarion M1000R on. It is mounted in the wall/cabinet in the middle of the dinette. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to remove the radio. Does any know how or have any advice?

Thanks

Try a pair of putty knives stuck between the radio and the DIN mount on the sides. Takes a slight amount of finesse, but not much.

Good luck!

There is a special "tool" for removal of Clarion radios. I guess some other flat object of the right width would work but it is really easy with the Calrion tool.

Ask around your Sea Ray dealer....every tech has about 20 of them since one comes with every replacement radio.

I think this is what Frank is referring to. They're for releasing the locking tab.

I was going through my tool box last night and realized I have mine from the old boat. But I am sure the dealer has them as well.
