has anyone had any success finding a replacement handset for the RayMarine R215. The cord has dry rotted and fallen apart.

Contact Raymarine. You can send it to them for repair. They were quick and charged $175 I think to refurb the cord and bench test.

I picked up a handset from Flounder Pounder. They are hard to come by. The above post is a path through Raymarine and I've also heard they turn it around very quickly.

Thanks for the assist, hard to believe there's not a market for replacements. I appreciate your time

Michael, PM me yuor email. I have the phone number and POCs at RM for getting the cord replaced. I went through it last year. $75 and quick turn around time.

I sent mine in and they wanted $175. Screw that. For $325 I bought a Standard Horizon GX-2200 with full dsc capabilities, built in GPS receiver, and built in AIS receiver that displays nicely to my RM C80 chart plotter. It's a 1000 times more radio than the Ray 215. Chuck it.

Pete

I replaced just my mic cord this winter, ordered it through West Marine for only $47.00. Open the mic and it just plugs in, very easy to replace.

thanks for the assist on the handset. I sent it to RayMarine, they turned it around in about 10 days for $75.00
