I just bought a 2000 260 bow rider with a 7.4, and when I took it to get de-winterized, the plugs were blown out.

Thank god the block is okay, but the guy said the r&r circulating & sea pump needs to be replaced. The heck is that? I googled it and found something about the a/c. This thing doesn't have an ac.

I don't think you had ever responded in your other thread about the block... how was it determined that the block is OK?

Don't want to go into too much detail if you're not doing this yourself, but... the circ pump is on the front of the engine and (assuming you have a Bravo drive), the raw water pump is lower, stbd corner.

Thanks for reminding me. I need to close that loop.

The block was okay! The dealer is paying for the pump and the freeze plugs.

R/R means remove and replace.

The raw water pump has a rubber impeller and pushes raw water from outside the boat up toward the cooling system.

The circulating pump is what you think of in an automotive application. The water pump in a Chevy truck is called a circulating pump on your Marine engine.

$1,500. The dealer paid for it.
