There may be another thread on this but I looked so I am appoligizing in advance if this is duplicated. I have a 7.5 KW Quicksilver Gen Set that intermittantly will not start. I can crak it time after time and it does not appear to be getting gas to the carburator. I have replaced the fuel pump a year ago and the genny ran. A few weeks later it would not start. I do hear the fuel pump run but nothing to the carburator. I found something somehwer about an anti syphon valve but I am having trouble locating it in my fuel system. Anyone know where to look for this as it may be the root cause of my issue. Or does anyone have any other ideas. This is installed in a 1993 370 dancer.

I had the same problem with my Onan 3.0KW genny in my 1991 330 sundancer with 2 X 5.7 L engines. I Changed the feul pump. I found that the feul line get emptied by the port engine, since they are on the same feul line. I'll have to install a anti-syphon on the Genny Line. Futur Project. Until then, I feed the Pump Directly with 12 Volts right of the + on the Genny's stater ( temporarly). I here the pump change sound when feul gets to it. It Starts like a charm right away.

There are lots of threads on Quicksilver Generators with great information. I'll start with a few basic questions:

1) how many hours are on it?
2) when was the last time it ran without problems?
3) when was the last it was tuned up?
4) has the control board been replaced?
5) what kind of fuel pump was the replacement?

You can trouble shoot the fuel system by spraying some starting fluid into the carburetor to see if it starts and runs. If it doesn't then we can move on to the electrical system.
