Boat is very new to me, and the trim tabs rockers are on the front panel. My question is if I push the rockers UP, does that lift the trims up, as in closer to the boat? There are no markings on the tabs now. I just need to know what way to press the rockers to retract them closer to the stern of the boat. Sounds crazy but I dry dock my boat and they need to be retracted for the lift to pick up the boat.
Thanks for any help on this.

Trim tab button operations vs function can get to be confusing. The buttons controlling the position of the bow above water and their function is almost the reverse. To retract both tabs up push and hold both bow up buttons (these are the lower side of each the rockers). Also keep in mind that individually the starboard button controls the port tab and vice versa.

Here is a good explanation of the use of the tabs:

There would have originally been markings on the buttons (if OEM), but they could be worn off. Along with what Kevin said, there's a caveat... That's the way it works if they were installed by Sea Ray. If they were installed by a PO, they could be wired differently. It's also possible that a PO rewired them. Best way to know... just look at them.
