Question (may be a stupid one)

:smt021Well, we made an offer on the 320 Dancer....time to play with the bank!

WISH ME LUCK!

Hopefully we will soon be a part of the Sea Ray owner's community...

Holy crap! I was looking at old threads after reading some of the post replies to Frank's concerns over the bad advice given on technical questions. Was I green or what? I again want to thank the group that helped guide me through the process of buying my first al boat and again a year later when I bought the 410. It's hard to believe how much I have learned between this forum and the boat club I joined (srbcnc.org). I have been able to share what I have learned and hopefully will continue learning more all of the time. Who knows, there could always be another larger Sea Ray in my future! Please note how helpful Gary was even though he warned that he would try to pick on me later...

My first big boat was an Owens single screw. The second was a 30' Chris Craft with twin 283's. Both boats I will never forget. I bought the Owens when my wife was in the hospital having our second child. He was on that boat when he was 2 weeks old.
I can only second (or third) what was said about the bed. In any purchase look hard at the things that are not right for you. The positives will never hurt you. Overlooking something that is important thinking it won't matter will matter later.
You know that. Just reinforcing the thought.
Many boats now being repo'd are not abused but simply the result of the economy. They sit around a long time during the process and may be dirty but that doesn't mean they are not a great buy.
Good luck.
Doug
