Question about jacking tandem axle trailer

I did a search and couldn't find the definitive answer on how to block a tandem axle trailer for winter storage. Is there a recommended location under the trailer to position the blocks? Are more than three needed (including bow)? As you can see from the photo, I blocked it from the rearmost spot on the trailer. The boat is a 220DA.......thanks....Danny

To ensure you don't put too much stress on the frame, you should also block in front of the wheels of the trailer. I got this info from a trailer builder and have done it that way.

Looking at your photo, it looks like excess weight is being pushed on the front tandem wheels... its not evenly distributed...

I have never heard of blocking up a smaller boat like that for the winter... ? A 22-ft boat should not stress a tandom axle trailer. I guess it would be better for the railer though. OK, I will just shut up. Lol!

looks like you have taken the load off both axles and and all the tires. this is what you want to do. not uncommon for peeps to do that here also.

if your frame has enough flex that the way you have blocked is going to hurt it, i wouldnt trust it to tow. looks good to me

He's putting it on blocks to take the weight off the suspension and tires not the frame.

That is how I block mine...never heard to block in front of the wheels, but that may be better....don't know.

It as much to do with the kind of suspension you have. But I have blocked in front and behind the axles, lifting just enough to get some weight off the tires but not enough to get them in the air. I have torsion axles so they don't drop very far.
