Question about a 92 230 Sundancer w/4.3

I am looking to move up to a bigger boat and I have found a couple of 92 230 Sundancers with the 4.3 engine and was just wondering how well this boat will perform with this engine setup? I am not looking to fly around the lake with it but I would like to be able to pull the kids on a tube and maybe use the kneeboard, will it do it? My 180 I have know is perfect for this but I am looking for more room and a better ride in choppy water! Thanks

My brother used to own a '93 with the carb'd V-6. I don't recall if it was the 175HP or the 4-barrel (190HP).

For tubing it was absolutely fine. Pulling an averaged size adult on 2 skis was doable. Couldn't get up on one ski.

The trim tabs really help.

I felt the only downside to the boat was the 8' beam - made the boat a little wobbly.

He used it up and down the LI Sound and was very happy with it.
