I have a sundeck 260 on dry land marine (on racks when not using it). My Bimini, when up, won't fit. Is there a way to put it safely in down position? Or, are sea ray biminis only allowed in one position.? Thx

Pain in a taking it down each time.

Can you disconnect the rear poles and lay the bimini down? with help should only take 30 seconds. I do this because I use a mooring cover that comes down over the sides to protect the top deck from the sun.

Right, just lay it down aft. You've got very easy-to-disconnect fittings on your boat - be glad you don't have the older style bimini fittings (although they may only take 60 seconds).

Like Dennis already said, just pop out the rear poles from the ball joint fitting by removing the pin from the fitting. Pole will pop right out. Lay them down and you may even have a Velcro tape that is used to wrap around the poles when they are in the down position. Hope it helps.

Thanks guys. When you do it, and wanna use a canvas, do you canvas then lay Bimini over canvas? Or canvas over down bimini?

Not sure, I never had to drop the bimini and put the cover on.

You won't get it to fit under the canvas (assuming you're talking about the cockpit cover).

By the way, you might get really lucky and have the newer, newer style of Bimini hardware - the pin just rotates, it doesn't even get removed!

Are you referring to when you should cover the bimini with the boot, before or after you put it down?

if so, try it both ways and see what works easiest. might be able to do it either way.
