Cummins QSM 11
I own 2004 480 sedan with QSM 11's. On occasion with no warning the port engine will lose power. Cruising at 1900 etc. then port engine drops to approx. 1100rpm and will not respond to power. After a few minutes power will return and prcess will intermitantly repeat. Raacor filters have been checked and no issues appear to be present.
Has any one else had these issues with this engine?

Sounds like a fuel issue. Start at the tank and follow the fuel finally to the injector.pump. First check fuel venting an constricted hoses. Then check fuel selection valves. Mine failed and it took me months to figure it out. Don't forget to check for clogged p/u tubes in the tanks. Before you attack the engine go.to Boatdiesel.com

I had an issue where I could not get past about 1200 RPMs. It turned out to be a bad intake manifold pressure sensor (boost pressure sensor). The ECU was seeing no boost and limiting the fuel to the engine.

It would be a pretty easy part to swap between the two engines to see if the problem moves.

Betting it's manifold pressure sensor as my helm alarm occassionaly flashes code 123 which indicates problem with manifold pressure sensor circuit. Cummins will be sending tech, later this week to change gear cooler mounting brackets, I will have them replace sensor and hopefully this will solve my power issue.
