Put my baby (230BR) to bed.

Well, after a wonder first season with my baby, the time has come to put my 1997 230BR to bed. I had a marine mech do the draining and winterizing. Also had him pull the drive and inspect everything. Got a nod that everything is good and will not need any work done in the spring (barring any unforeseen mishaps over the winter.)

She is on the hard and shrink wrapped.

I dropped mine off yesterday. They'll also pull the drive and check alignment. $700 and a ninety minute drive each way, but at least we're done spending money for boating this year. Pork'n'Beans until April!

Yeah sad times indeed, we are done for the season and will be making an appointment with the dealer to have my Sport 190 winterized here in the next week or two.
Had a lot of fun with it for it's first season though, we certainly got to do a lot of boating this year. Too bad it has to come to an end for a while.

I doubled up the dock lines Friday. Monday morning we're going to put up the windows on the flybridge, close all the thru-hulls and drain the strainers, blow out the fresh water system and she'll be done.

I washed the boat the day before it was pulled and made an appointment for the travelhoist first thing the next day. Was at the marina at 9:00AM and drove it into the hoist. It was out of the water in 5 minutes. We acid cleaned the waterline and power washed the bottom and sides. By 10:00AM it was inside a clean building on keel blocks with jack stands. I spent an hour mopping it dry and putting up the aft curtain. Home by 11:00AM.

Stacking firewood and installing the bubbler on our dock came next. Fall chores are falling into place nicely.
