PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .:wow:

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash
for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans,
blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want
steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women
Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we'll test
recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use
drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?

You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair.
Your home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be
inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your
own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week
or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways
of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We
will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo
and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of
the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you
say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider
that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing
absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at
least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system
rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes,
that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will
voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't
welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Well of course I disagree, but truly I think you guys need to look at a real solution to the problem.

There will always be people in a society who are going to do stupid stuff, make bad choices and some are going to become disabled, old or possibly be born less than perfect and unable to be useful or productive in this society. We also provide a lot of benefits for those who commit crimes. Feeding, housing and medical for prisoners costs us billions. Why not cut our costs to the bone, lets be corporate about this.

These people are not value added and never will be. There are people who will always be a drain on our society. Why don't we stop the constant drain on the monetary resources of those of us who are productive?

Since its all about money for you guys, why not?

Pack, Your post is out of the bounds of good taste, and I am asking you to remove it. I was going to quote it but wanted to give you an opportunity to pull it. MM

You are way off base with your comment here Woody. It is one thing to find amusement in an humor article about public assistance at a time when nearly 50% of the public is on it and asking for more. While implying that previous posters are Nazis and employ concentration camp imagery in a public forum is quite another. That is not a difference of opinion that is nasty name calling and libel. The surest way to know when an argument is lost is when one reverts to calling someone a Nazi. MM

Funny, I don't see the "N" word anywhere in this thread except in YOUR posts MM.

What did you mean to convey with a picture of a concentration camp displaying the qoute? "The slogan is known for having been placed over the entrances to a number of Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust, including most infamously Auschwitz"

I called no one a Nazi, what I did do is call both comments garbage, I think that comment was pretty accurate. Now you've come ridin' you're high horse because of an implied association to Nazi thinking. The content of the original post is clearly racist. It recommends removal of personal rights and sterilization as solution/prevention of our societies problems and you find it humorous.
