Happy fall yall. Does anyone have a Sundancer that has pursans system installed ? I am going to install the EX system on my 500 and im considering placment of the components. Anyone here have any ideas? The installation paper work says the main unit must be within 6 ft of the toilet. That placement is not really doable for the two head setup on these vessels. Looking for ideas, suggestions.

We installed a Purasan system on our 440 MY which had two heads, one of which was definitely more than six feet. I suspect you can get Vacu-flush pumps of different capacities, because the pump we had on the MY had four duckbill valves, two on each side of pump, and the vacu-flush pump we have on our 300 DA has only two valves, one on each side. These vessels were 1990 versus 1988, is it seems unlike that it was a production change for different year vessels, but I’m just guessing….

I really don't understand the 6ft distance thing. My vacu flush has no problem pushing "stuff" almost 45ft and then uphill about 3ft into the tank. Gona give it a try with the Purasans unit in the engine room and see how it goes. Sure will be nice to get rid of the massive holding tank and reclaim some space.

I would interpret that as 6 feet from the vacuum generator(s) (not the toilet) as that is what moves the effluent to the Purasan.

Our Puransan unit was in the engine room, it does need to be accessible for maintenance, and also adding colorine tablets regularly.
