Just got my new boat, a 2007 Sundeck 260. Boat was a repo and purchased through an out of state dealer. The boat came with no owners manuals and I was able to obtain the Mercruiser manual and the Sea Ray downloaded manual but there are no instructions on how to use or how to empty the pump out head. I am new to head compartments. Any suggestions?

Use:
  1. Turn on water pump and head breakers
  2. Turn on head at key
  3. Lift up on flush pedal to put water in the bowl if there is none.
  4. When finished, flush by stepping on the pedal and holding until bowl is clear. It should refill with water on its own.
Pump out:
  1. Remove "waste" deck fill cover.
  2. Pay $5 to someone so that they can activate the system, and hand you the hose.
  3. Press rubber end of nozzle into deck fill and hold tightly.
  4. Turn on valve on nozzle.
  5. Watch the waste go through the sight tube. Turn off valve when waste stops flowing.
  6. Remove nozzle from deck fill (carefully, so as not to spill waste on your hull).
  7. Open valve on nozzle.
  8. Using hose as a handle, lower the nozzle into water and allow it to suck some in to clean out the hose .
  9. Hoist nozzle back up, close valve, hand nozzle to attendant.
  10. Close "waste" deck fill.
  11. Wash hands.
That should get you started.

Just to make sure. Do you have a vacuflush or just a porta potty pump out head.

If it is the standard porta potty

1. BEFORE USING: R[FONT=Arial,Arial][FONT=Arial,Arial]emove cap located right, rear side of freshwater tank. Fill with fresh water just below the neck of the freshwater inlet. Depress bellows pump to add water to bowl.

Thanks for your response. It is not a vacu flush, I believe it is just a potty with pump out. There are no apparent valves or floor levers, just a round plastic bellows looking device about 3" dia on the top of left back side of the potty. I do not see any other flushing mechanism.

Yes that sounds like the standard porta potty. Just follow the previous steps. Then follow skibums steps for pump out.

That's what I have also. Pretty sure mine will be used as a "pee only" potti. I will likely manually empty mine since I can't see paying $7 to pump out a Porta-Potti. :smt009

I empty the porta head manually. There's nothing like paying for a couple seconds' use of a fancy shop vac!!!!

go to SeaRay.com, you can download your owners manual from there. You will have to input your HIN number.

Just to add to the instructions about "after use", I highly recommend SLOWLY pulling out on the handle to flush.
