When coming off plane, my 40 Dancer sometimes gives a "Pump Alarm - Forward Emergency". The forward and aft bilge pumps and the shower sump seem to be working fine. Where is the forward pump located and how do I access it? Is it the one just aft of the shower sump?
Thank you.

What year Dancer? If 97-99 vintage that could be a sign your fresh water tank is leaking. Check way in the back of the compartment where the shower sumps are. Don’t ask how I know.

SORRY-My mobile didn't show your profile info or I missed it. Good luck with it.

your forward bilge pump is in the cavity behind your sump for the A/C and Shower.. in the same compartment

Correct. It’s in the midcabin under the sofa.

Access the pump from the salon. Just lift the panel in front of the fridge. Then look inside adn towards the back. You;ll probably have water in there. It will probably be fresh water. Clean-it up and find the source so that you don't have further issues and mildew. On most 40's, that section is of the bilge is quite dry.

I had the same experience on my 420. I finally tracked the source of the water to the forward shower drain was leaking.
