Pulsating dash lights

I rarely cruise at night but I recently discovered that my dash/ instrument lights pulse with the engine running. At idle the glow steady, but as rpm increases, they blink rapidly. Not on off, but bright & dim, pulsing. Weird. And annoying. Anyone have similar experience and solution? Thanks.

have your alt checked. and if using flooded batteries check the electrolyte levels. If dry you need new batteries

Grounds. Especially if any of your gauges bounce

If you decide to check the grounds and the voltage to the gauges, the dash panel comes out easily with the gauges attached & they all share a common ground. Clean up the connections & exercise the switch on the back of the tach while you are in there. I am by no means an expert but this may be a good starting point.

Thanks for the guidance, all. The alt is new and batt is under a year old. So I will check the grounds first and let ya know.
