So I'm winterizing my boat for the first time. Usually my boat lives in a heated garage but this year it will be under a carport. My issue is the four blue plugs on the front of the engine. I can get to the top one, the one on the bottom port side, and the lower one on the raw water pump. The upper one on the raw water pump is inaccessible. My wrist would need another articulation to get to that one! So, I'll be removing the alternator and cool fuel module to unplug that stupid little plug.
I was thinking of making a little pigtail out of a brass fitting and about 8" of fuel hose or the like. I'd screw the pigtail into the drain port and screw the blue plug into the end of the pigtail. That way next year I wouldn't have perform surgery simply to winterize my boat. Has anyone done something like this and if so, do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
