Well survey is scheduled for boat and engines next Friday. Been 12 years since I owned a Sea Ray but time has come again. Always loved this model and now living in Ft Lauderdale finding more time to enjoy going to Bahamas this one still fits in my slip and gives me an upgrade to my beloved Princess 46. Wife said she loved how much more room this 48 has and the newer finishes is a plus for her also. Going to be a bit of a squeeze for a few months having two boats as the Princess needs to go but older boats take time to find new owners. Can't wait to get going on this one to have her ready for spring trips to Bimini. Need to do full maintenance on the QSC's and get to know them as I am a mechanic by trade and enjoy doing all my on maintenance. Electronics are already upgraded and good so just a few other goodies and I will be set to go. Looking forward to hearing from other 48 owners on tips and tricks as well as cool add on's.

Very nice. Couple yeas ago I too upgraded which left me as an unintential"fleet manager". Got to be real interesting keeping both of them up to par.

Great boat in a great area. Congrats.

I too did the 2 boat thing when I bought my current boat. Had it and a older 400EC. I waited until spring to sell and was realistic about the price. Boat sold at good, not great, money and i never looked back.

Yea, the "fleet manager" thing scares me a bit. I am going to get real aggressive on the Princess as keeping her just ends up costing more money every day.

Great boat, but I might be biased :) What year is it? Share some details!

And Congratulations!

I think I was looking at that listing about a week ago! Sweet ride, beautiful boat! Congrats!

She is a 2006 2 owner with only 650 hours. Capt maintained for the last 6 years here in Miami. Not used a lot as out of town owner. She is in great shape.

Great boat - I looked at one myself recently.

The owner had rinsed it down before I arrived to view it and as a result I discovered the hull windows and windscreen leaked. So you might want to ensure yours are sealed or at least if they leak that you know that when negotiating as this issue seems to be a common problem with the 48.

there was a member here that lost a window on a bahamas crossing - IIRC he outlined the repair here using an improved sealant
