My shower/AC sump is not working and has no power to the plug. My breaker panel has an open hole marked 'Shower Sump' but I have no idea what was there and if it may have fallen in and behind the panel so plan to pull the panel off to take a look. This isn't a Sea Ray so no specific questions but the boat is on the trailer so no shore power. Do I need to disconnect the batteries or just turn the battery switch off? 2 reasons I don't want to disconnect them. 1) they are hard to get to and I can barely fit in there to get to them and 2) I would need them connected to test power to whatever I find back there.

I wouldn't turn it off. Pull the panel and put your test light to work.
That was my thinking but don't want to short anything but need to use the test light to figure things out. Who knows, might not have been anything in that hole but last year I replaced the sump box and still nothing. My mid cabin well has the bilge pump there and the shower sump/AC so if it overflows the regular bilge pump picks it up but I'd rather fix it right. If I swap plugs down there then the sump bilge works but not the mid cabin bilge so has to be a power issue getting to that plug. I haven't actually tested that plug with a test light but obviously it must not have power. Just need to start tracing back but it's hard to figure out where the wires go.

Pulled the panel today and found a white reset button behind it. Reset it and the shower sump pump worked. Found out my sink in the head drains to that sump too. The plastic retaining nut was on it so my guess is when they installed the newer stereo they took that button out and put the plastic nut back on so they wouldn't lose it then forgot to put it back in before putting the panel back on and was too lazy to pull it back off to fix it. All good now!
