5.7 w/alpha
Hi folks. I hope everyone is safe and well and not going to crazy being locked down right now. Our local Marina's and launches were just mandated closed indefinitely. When we eventually get back on the water I was hoping to replace my prop as the aluminum one that is on there is showing its age. Wondering if anyone has experience with this hull/power/drive combination

Thanks all, stay safe and wash those hands :)

Don’t know how much help this will be, but for what it’s worth...
I have a 1989 220 Cuddy Canin with a 5.7 and Alpha One drive. M The stainless steel prop is a
Stilletto 3-blade stainless steel, 10317 M1417.

It performs very well pulling skiers, tubers, or getting me up to 40mph.

There are a few considerations...
Hole shot, economy, top speed and stress on the o/d.

Plus there is pitch and diameter the latter, diameter, has a significant affect on bow holding perf.

After trying a few props I choose a mirage 17p. The pitch provided excellent hole shot, didn’t over stress the the o/d, had a very positive effect on bow control and minimal impact on top speed. Maybe 2-3 mph. Mid range economy improved because the boat held plane at a slightly lower speed.
