Hello all!

Long time, no post!!!! Hope all has been well with the forum members!!!! Got a quick question....

Does anyone remember/know the prop size, diameter and pitch of the OEM prop on the 2006 Sport 195?

I'm currently running a 3-blade Stiletto, 14.25X21, stainless, with an anode that the fin keeps breaking off of, 3-4 times a season...

Going to go back to OEM... Problem is, I no longer have the old prop... And I didn't write down the prop info anywhere!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

If you're happy with the current prop, keep it and change the anode to the flat style. You don't need the "fin" anode with your setup. Save your money for gas! :smt001

+1 on the flat style anode.
My original boat was a used 1990 180 BR, and had the fin anode. My new Sport 190 has the flat anode, can not say I saw any difference at all between the two.

Lazy daze and dburne...

It's my understanding that with the high performance prop that I currently have, the finned anode should be used to break up any turbulence and not cause damage to the lower unit/cavitation plate....

Any truth to this?

Found out the info I needed... 14.25X21.... Same size as the Stiletto... Just not as "cupped"...

That's the first time I heard of that. Come to think of it, if the anode is already broken (just the triangular part, that is), just let it there - there's no reason to replace it just yet. Go boating.

Here's the "details" on the Stiletto I have…

"Warning: Due to the performance enhancing nature of the design, Quicksilver Trim Tab # 46399A1 or AP 4004 (******** part #38459) MUST be used to avoid damage and/or injury."

The aggressive "cupping" of the Stiletto may cause damage to the cavitation plate. I don't want to screw anything up and I'm sick and tired of replacing this "special" anode 3-4 times a season…

I found the OEM, so I may just go back with it…

All good….

I thoughr i heard somewhere that the fin anode was for no power steering and the flat, was for with power steering? I could be way off on this one.

Well, I'm still struggling to understand how that damage is going to happen. But if we go along with it, then here's another possible solution that can save you the money of buying a new prop: If the anode is breaking off because of the water pressure that the prop gives off, then try cutting about a 1/3 of the anode's fin off. That would, in essence, make the fin stronger since the water pressure wouldn't have as much leverage against it.

If it was me, I would also call the company and talk to someone knowledgeable about their prop - ask more questions about this and whether or not the warning applies to your setup (Alpha drive).

Hello everyone!
Long time Boater short time Large

What IS the Prop Size for a SRV310?
10,000 pounds +/- 1000, 31' x 12' Cuddy Stock 330hp/454 Merc 1.5 turns Straight drives in Tunnels
Mine's got nice shinny, not a Scratch, balanced 17 x 18s small cup but, WOT gets bout 3300rpm goes bout 31mph
I know it's an 1980 but, should be... 500 more? ...for about 38?

Adjusted ignition for best RPM at 2500 RPM in Gear Left and Right

Any time you need a standard sea ray prop size - Google "1980 sea ray prop size matrix" - Replace with whatever year you need. This is the result for 1980

What?!!:wow:
You need me to tune your Boat!
Does your Wake look like my wake on it's worst day?

*UPDATE*
Much Better!
See B4 picture was Both WOT at 3200rpm and really Sluggish to plane, Right Sounded like the Wipe out Drum Roll, Found a Bad Spark Plug So, Replaced all four on left Side
of the Right Engine. Took the Boat out today, Left Sounds just like the Right Engine:huh:
No drum Roll:smt038

WOT Did 4000RPM and climbing Starboard and slow to 3500RPM for Port in a Block test area

Flat Wake and no Roasters and no pictures

It's a Science experiment; Left has Ovals Right has Rectangles

4000 RPM * 18 inches\one foot\1.5=4000
5280/4000=1.32
60/1.32=45 Mph - 10% Slip is 40mph

One Bad Spark plug caused all this:huh:
I'll check the GPS for that 40mph. I'm sure she's close, now:thumbsup:
