prop markings are not very visible but this boat has what I believe is a 15p prop three blade aluminum. Seems very underpitched for the engine and at nearly 4k rpm tops at barely over 26mph. I'm considering a 4 or 5 blade SS 21+ pitch prop. I pull skiiers sometimes but interested in power and top speed moreso. Any guidance on how high to go and still have enough grunt from the 5.7L to get it going? any experience with 4 and 5 blade on such a vessel? any input appreciated.

Well, you're not going to have any issues with grunt - a 350 in a little boat is MORE than enough. Heck, that boat with a V6 can pull skiers all day long.

Yes, 15" is too small. Go to Sea Ray's website and look under the owner's section for the prop charts. That will tell you what the original 3-blade was... it would be Al if you have a carb'd engine, SS if EFI. But that will get you close and then you can decide from there.

You mentioned top end is more important. Keep in mind that you're going to be talking about a couple MPH one way or the other... and how often do you plan on doing that?

Not sure of you drive ratio but id be looking at a 19 or 21” Mercury Revolution 4 prop. I run one for same watersports reasons works great
