I will be replacing my first prop and I want to buy the right puller. I am hoping to make this prop replacement as smooth at possible. Any recommendations is appreciated.

Thank You

You probably won't need any puller. Most of the time you can just unscrew the locking nut and wiggle the prob a little and it will pull right off. Put a little bit of waterproof grease on the shaft splines on the outdrive before you install the new prop and it will come off easy the next time.

ClearCreek: You may be confusing pulling a prop off of an inboard shaft with a stern drive. As Scott said, your hands are all you'll need. A 3 year-old should be able to pull it off. I'm going to assume you older than that...

I believe the procedure is in your manual. But again, like Scott said, it's pretty straight forward.

You just need a prop wrench. I bought one of those floating yellow ones from west marine. That is good to keep on a boat, but not good if you plan on changing props several times on land. Get a metal one for that. I wish I had. The plastic one will strip. Or a deep socket, I think it is 1 1/4.
