I cannot and the dealer could not find the pitch labeled on the prop. Does anyone know what pitch came on that boat. It is the 3.0 alpha. Also, if I go with the mercury high five, do i pitch up or down and by how much?

i think its a 21. the high 5. it is a 5 blade?? if so you would have to go down in pitch, but not sure how much. if you have a friend with that prop, borrow it and try it to see where you stand.

Actually, it could've been either a 21" or 23" depending on what gear ratio they used. I've seen it, first hand, both ways. SR sometimes makes changes part way through the model year.

Don't waste your money on the High-5 (or any stainless). You won't see any benefits. The 4-cyl doesn't have enough torque to spin it fast enough to get any gains.

What do you want a new prop to do for you?

Trying to get out of the hole quicker (quicker to plane and pulling skiers). I've had ss props on my former 22' Crownline and it made a difference; you're saying it won't here because the motor isn't strong enough?

Just to give you an idea, I have a 21p enertia (3 blade). My four blade rev4 is 17p. Both reach the proper RPMs. I would find a friend with a four blade, near 17p and test run it. Or find a prop shop that will let you run one for free or a small fee. My four blade pushes me on plane in half the time as the three blade.

That's correct. There just isn't enough torque there to spin the prop fast enough to get any real benefits. Among other boats that I've owned and customer's boats, I also used to own a 2000 180BR myself. I experimented with many things - working at a marina I had plenty of access to props to be able to try out

My 180 had a 23" stock. I dropped to a 4 blade, 18" when I wanted to ski. I only got a top speed of somewhere in the mid-30's with that, but I didn't care - I never skied that fast, anyway. When slalom skiing, I was at about 30mph. When I was going out skiing with buddies, I threw the 4-blade on. HUGE difference.

19 pitch high five is what i use on my 2001 180 BR - I did see a huge improvement in holeshot - compared to a 3 blade ali prop.
