Just pulled the props from my 300 weekender 1988 with 350's.The props are 16x16 on the port side and 17x16 on the starboard. The searay site lists the correct props as 17x16's both sides. My question is why would someone use different props on both sides.I am going to bring them to a prop shop and have them checked.it seems the boat is not performing like others I see on here.I have to run 3200 RPM to keep plane at 20 Knots.Seems like I always need tabs to keep the bow down.any thoughts or suggestions??

I forgot to post my max WOT is about 38-3900 RPM.I know I should be 4400.I usually run full fuel so the boat is heavy most of the time.I boat mostly with my wife and 2 kids. What props are everyone else running on their weekenders?I see others on here that say their weekender will plane at 2800.I cannot maintain plane at 2800,the boat feels like it falls off at below 3000.I also need full tabs to get the bow down so I can see over the windshield.Just trying to get the boat right.

I run 17x16s,someone has a pair for sale ,search fourums ,might be cheaper than fix and youll have a spare then.

I had the same boat, for 5 years, and had similar problems
using 17 x 16 props. They were on for the first four years, until I ran across a pr of 17x15s. This raised the rpm to 41-4200 and worked great,

I also used 1.5" shaft props on my 1 1/4 shaft by using an inexpensive adapter - about $15. (the adapters were on for 4 years, and we had no problems - It actually made them sort of easy to remove which wasnt a bad thing.)

another searay ,what did the 17 x 15s do for your cruise speed and top end speed?

Another Searay, what was your cruise with the 17x15's?RPM and MPH?I have been reading alot and think I may be better with the 15 pitch, maybe even some cupping will lift the stern.Really want to get this right, lovethe boat but just want to get the bow to come down at cruise. Is there anyone else with a weekender that can comment on what they are running. What really bothers me is the 16x16 on the port. Not sure why someone did that????
