I have a Raymarine C-80 unit with a 8 month old DSM 30 depth sounder. Recently the unit will lose the depth (signal) and I have to power down the DSM 30 by getting on my hands and knees and physically unplugging the unit. I then re install the power wire, and turn the C-80 back on. This resets it most of the time but I'm wondering why this is happening at all? I had a professional install the transducer and the DSM 30. He also updated the software to the current version. Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.
