I have an ever so slight leak of oil at the bottom of the oil pan on one motor. It appears to be coming from a bolt that holds bracket for the left and right dip sticks to the motor. It is at the bottom of the pan. I have tried to tighten the bolt but it only turned slightly and I was afraid it would break off. Has anyone had this issue? It's a 5.7 Horizon motor. I was thinking about draining the oil and removing the bolt and checking if addition of a gasket or o-ring would be possible. I cannot really see the bolt, only able to feel it. Any ideas?

Dave, The bolt is part of a banjo fitting. There will be two rubber/metal washers(not O-rings) in the assembly. I know the washers are available at a GM dealership because they are actually used for automotive oil pan bolts. Make sure your pan does not have a pin hole leak from rust as that area of your pan is just above your shaft seals. I had to replace an oil pan because of that and I thought for sure it was that fitting leaking. Good Luck
