problem with modular electronic interface on 240 sundeck

My sign is samfrank ,i have an 02 240 sundeck . When marine max replaced the motor for the trimtabs ,they said the modular electronic interface started smoking , they sent it in to dss in raligh n.c. And they say they have no new ones and dont know how long a fix will take . Searay has no other suppliers and i have been without a boat since sept 3 . Any ideas on what to do? Thanks , samfrank
