Price to Gelcoat your boat

[Old Blue]

Does anyone know what the price is to gelcoat your boat (by foot?). I live in Lewiston Id own a 23ft 87 SR cuddy cabin. I live 100 miles South of Spokane. I would like to know if anyone knows anyone reliable in Spokane Wa. or Lake Havasu Az as that is where I am going to winter for 3 months. Any info. would help thanks in advance.

Forget Gelcoat. I would advise you look at a boat/yacht paint such as Imron, Awlgrip or Alexseal.

agreed with above
you will actually get a cleaner finish with the urethane base paint than with gelcoat
less "orange peel" to sand out tho make it slick.

I'm considering painting my blue hull with Awlgrip this winter. The PO did a number of gelcoat patches to the blue hull that have faded to a different color than the hull.

Awlgrip is the ONLY way to go.

I was raised between there and Alaska, my mom still lives in Kooskia. I come out to hunt every year... I would live there if it was not so far from open water

We have a friend in Toronto with a 26 year old Princess 43 bridge boat. She was white gelcoat. 10 years ago, he had her painted with dark blue Awlgrip below the rub rail and white Awlgrip above it, and today she still looks brand new - I was impressed with Awlgrip to say the least...
