That still exists, just going to cost $10K to do it instead of $2500.

EDIT: I mean unless your touring some where and need that, who's buying these things @$25K and up?

I bought a new dink last year for $700. New.

Granted it's plastic and rides like a sheet of plywood. A little over 2K for a new Merc 9.9 and I run it at least a few times a week, all over the place. With a 6-gal tank, I only have to fill the tank a few times all season.

Last year I passed a guy fishing out of a kayak and he yells: "I guess that's all you really need, right?" Yup!

Sounds good, @Phil S , what brand? We had a real nice Avon a few years ago, that was very similar to the 25K one, albeit older..it was stolen. :(
We’ve been talking about a replacement…..

The same thing that happened to center console fishing boats...........

Yeah, ~2M for a center console these days, is well, CRAZY! IMO. There are a lot of boat's you can get for under 1M that IMO are much nicer. And then you have some money left over to cruise with.

Shoot, I put 100,000 miles on this bad boy, w/wife and 3 kids, before you guys convinced me it wasn't cool enough! :)

I paid <$3k for this setup back in 2016 +/-. I checked this morning - $2300 for the boat, $1150 for the outboard. Still not too terribly bad. There are times I miss how easy this thing was to deal with...

:) At 1M, I'd have nothing to cruise with and I'd be in debt for the boat.
But I hear you, everything is crazy expensive.

1300 for the rubber, 800 for carbon emitting propulsion. Easily does 8 miles on a summer morning. while y’all working I might add.

A couple years back I was working my way upstream against a 6kts current...doing about 7kts, full throttle. It was quite hilarious...

I have a console dinghy. Originally bought one like yours PL but had issues getting in and out with my chemo neuropathy balance issues so I upgraded. With the center console I have something to hold on to getting in and out. Works great. But using post anywhere near what that one costs….
