Prestige 460 F type vs Galeon 460 Fly

That's about 80 square feet of extra space which is a LOT on a boat. Now, how it's used between the two, I don't know. Looking at both boats I personally much prefer the 470 in terms of layout and styling.
Do either of the boats have Zeus pods? If so, I'd be very cautious.

Thats kinda what I was thinking with the space. I assume the 450 is the same as the 430 and I felt it was small compared to the 44 we had. Yes both have Zeus.
We will be going on trips and spending weekends at the islands with the boat so the more room the better.

There was a 430 for sale at our local marina that we went on. I was surprised at how much smaller than my boat it felt.

Actually the 43 is the same as the 47. In I believe 2010 they rebadged the 43 as a 47 and included the swim platform in the overall length. The 450 is a rather unique model as it offers an aft tv/gaming lounge that transforms into sleeping quarters with curtain rather than a lockout, and only has one head.

Yeah I was surprised how small the 430 felt also. I took a 470 ( a 2010 I believe) out a few years ago and it was quit a bit bigger than our 44.

I believe this is correct as well. We had a 47 next to use a couple of years ago. They are nice boats but it for me it felt like a smaller version of the 48 sundancer.

My dream boat is the 650 Fly but its out of the question, way to big. I would love to have one of the 52 Sundancers that SR made just before they quit building the larger boats( my understanding is they only built 2 of them). I think that boat would have been a big seller.

I have never been a big fan of the 48 Da ( sorry ). It is just not a boat that stands out for me. My wife likes the 510 Da and I like the Fly lol. She has never been on a bridge boat and she thinks it will be "to Rocky up top" lol. I've always wanted a bridge boat. She is not completely against it, I am sure once she rides on one she will like it.

The biggest problem we are having is we don't know which way to go. Do we want a Bridge boat? I do I think. I think there would be more room for extended stays with the family. However I like The Sundancers to. We need to go out on both a couple times and see which one we like best. i think once my wife sees the added space she will like the bridge boat.

Thank You all for your replies.

If you warm up to the 48 during your search ours is for sale and in great shape. Headed to FL next week as we are starting the process of looking for a live-aboard

Ok thanks.
Whats the 48 in comparison to the 470 size wise?

The 470 felt close to 44 but a little larger. the 430 definitely felt smaller I was hoping the 450 fell closer to the 44 than the 430 did.

One thing I wish Sea Ray wouldn't do and thats change the numbers on the same boats. If they would leave things alone it would be easier for us to figure out what the sizes of the boats actually are.

I agree their rebranding of the same size boat can get frustrating.

The 48 sundancer is 51 ft LOA and a 14' 8" beam
In 2010 this was rebadged the 500 sundancer (no real changes but came with a zeus option)

The 47 sedan is also the same length and width. We owned ours (sold to a member on here) and our only complaint was for how we used the boat at the time we wanted more open cockpit space thus the desire to get back to the sundancer with the 48.

In comparison the 470 sundancer is 47 ft LOA and a 14 ft beam

When we looked at both we felt their was considerable more space on the 48. In our part of the country we don't have access to a good Zues technician so sticking with traditional shafts was a must for us.

The 2011 + 450 sundancer is actually smaller than the 44 at a beam of 13' 2" and LOA of 45 ft

I think this is how they replaced model (might be off by a year here or there)

2005-2010 39/40 sundancer was replaced by the 2011+ 45 both at a beam of 13' 2"

2005-2009 42/44 sundancer was replaced by the 2009+ 43/47 sundancer both at a beam of 14' - In 2015 the 470 was redone to have slideing doors.

2005-2013 48/500 sundancer was replaced by the 2013+ 510 sundancer both at a beam of 14' 8"

I didn't realize the 48/50 was as big as the 510 da. I always liked the 510 the only thing I really didn't care for on the 48/50 was the window design but maybe I need to give them another look. I have not heard a bad thing about them and that in itself says A LOT!

Its a model my wife and I always wanted.. really one of our favorite. Kinda bitter sweet looking to move on from it but being young enough to go do something different with our living situation is also very exciting. If you want any additional info on the 48/50 let me know. I have researched these extensively over the past 6 plus years. If you would like to see one over the winter ours is in heated storage.
