Hey guys, here is a engine mod I'm giving serious consideration to.

Pre - Post Lubrication Systems. These spin up the OP before ingnition and keep it going after shut down until the oil temp drops to a preset level.

Industrial diesel equipment will typically have these sytems on them at time of delivery. It is probably an option, but it sure makes sense on saving the bearings and the Turbo

The parts cost is about $500 an engine, but just might be the best grand spent on keeping these engines fighting fit.

I think they are a great piece of equipment, but introduce also more potential failure points (the oil sender port is under pressure when the engine is running). I had several times thought to install one of these.

I don't know ... with the reliability and longevity of today's engines if this is really all that helpful. I think most of the wear in an engine is piston/bore wear which is not going to be any better with a pre-lube arrangement. And in marine environments corrosion is probably more of an issue.
