pre buy in naples

Looking at a 93 370 dancer with 8.1 horizons with a little over 300 hours and would like any advice on the pre-by inspection


The owner does have a recent survey but I'm more interested in the engines, oil and drive status, is there anyone that can recommend a good pre-by inspection mechanic

Re-powered? 8.1 Horizons were not offered in 1993... standard was 7.4L sea water cooled.

You are exactly right the boat was repowered approximately 3 years ago it was originally a freshwater boat before it was moved to Southwest Florida


And thanks for the welcome, don't know if I'm doing this right but I'm assuming I will figure it out over time what a great resource for boaters

Have you actually seen the boat? I found one '93 370 in Naples on yachtworld that says it has 8.1 horizons, but the engine in the pic is not an 8.1. Maybe these are older pix? Maybe this is not the boat?

edit...ok - better pix do show 8.1s. sorry!

Yes I have seen the boat but it's a live aboard.... it was very cluttered and difficult to get in the engine compartments I'm going to make a second visit and be a little more detailed


Which is the reason for my request for advice from you guys, I believe that the V drives are original
