Power Vent Actuator Motor 1991 350 Sundancer

My boat has the power vent option for the lower middle section of the windshield.

The other day it went up and now won’t come back down. I assume I need a new a motor but I can’t seem to find anything that I know will be compatible

does anyone know where I can find an exact replacement for this part?

Many people have had look luck cleaning and lubricating that actuator. Do a search for it here.

I've taken mine apart and cleaned and regreased it twice and it doesn't last because in side is a circuit board with strips of copper where contacts ride on and the end strips are shorter than the other two and when it gets to the end of the short ones in stops in that direction. The problem is the end of the copper strips wear out from use or corrosion and then don't work. I just bi passed the board with the wires as they are on the out side of the unit and you just let go of the switch when you get to the end of the travel which you can tell from the sound. On plus side is you can get it to close tighter now so you don't have a leak around your window. It is still a good idea to take it apart and regrease the gears as my grease was hard as a rock.
