I've got my "new to me" 270 pretty well sorted out... mechanically. The VacuFlush toilet fills and flushes. I've flushed several gallons to verify. I doubt anyone will crap in it but I expect a few ladies will pee in it. Since it's only pee, I have no qualms about discharging the tank overboard. Heres a pic of the vaccum generator. I see only one motor on the vacuum generator. It operates the vacuum pump.

In the head, I have this wall mounted switch. It has an "off position", an "on position", and a spring return "discharge" position. It also has what appears to be circuit resets for "head" and "discharge pump"? Turned to "on", I get a red power light. Turned to "discharge", I can hear a pump running in the engine compartment. Working alone, I can't be in the head and engine compartment at the same time but I assume it's the same motor on the vacuum pump.

Is there a separate motor for a discharge pump? And I can't find a seacock or a discharge port... anywhere. I must be missing something.
TIA
Russ

Best I can tell from your parts manual

(although it looks a little different from your pic) is that an overboard discharge wasn't an option on your boat.
Most importantly, check the reg's in your area. Doesn't matter what's in your holding tank, most places I believe you have to be at least 20-30 miles off shore to use the waste discharge system.
So unless you can find a discharge pump, a Y-valve and a trough hull with seacock along with all of the associated hoses, your boat is not equipped with the overboard discharge and they just used the switch plate for one that does.

The vacuum pump does just/only that - create vacuum in the system. There will be another motor used for overboard discharge - it may look just like the vac pump (but only have 2 duckbills instead of 4) and be referenced as a "transfer pump" or it could be a "macerator pump". Same functions - different style of pumps is all. This one should be connected to a seacock and a thru-hull. If the seacock is currently closed you may have inverted one or two duckbills if it's a transfer pump by actuating the discharge.

In your picture, the pickup hose for the disacharge looks like it might be hiding behind the top of the vac pump motor.

But, it shouldn't be hard to find this stuff - the boat isn't very big so it's not like you can miss it - it's gotta be there inside that bilge.

Older/bigger boat, but, on mine, there's a separate macerator pump along the port wall that feeds off the bottom of the black water tank. It almost looks like a fresh-water pump, except that it then feeds into a stop cock, then out through the side. It's basically a baby garbage disposal. And, as noted, most (all?) inland lakes require that the pump be disabled. Mine's not only electrically disconnected, but the stop cock handle has been removed, leaving the valve in the closed position.

Thanks for the responses. I'll grab a friend and have him operate the switch in the head while I listen for the macerator. Gotta be somewhere. ;)

Don't need a friend :) Just look - if you get stuck, follow the hose I mentioned.

If I remember correctly, you have to turn the key and hold it as well as push the button all at the same time.

Maybe I remember more now. The key is spring loaded when you turn it to the discharge position and you have to hold it there to activate the pump.

Hii, theo mình thấy thì đây không hẳn là vấn đề tệ, đáng tham khảo. Cảm ơn nè!
Um, I don't think this thread has anything to do with pregnancies. Just a hunch...
"Tham khảo thêm chủ đề: bầu 20 tuần , bầu 3 tháng đầu không nên ăn gì , thai 3 tháng đầu" translates to "Refer to more topics: pregnancy 20 weeks, pregnancy in the first 3 months should not eat anything, pregnancy in the first 3 months"
