Posting pics

Have you tried using photoshop or similar software to downsize your photos before trying to upload them? I use Photoshop Elements and reduce the image size to 6"x4.5" before uploading them.

The difference may be if you are uploading your photo directly to this site from YOUR computer or using a link from another site to post your photo.

If you sponsor CSR, you will not have any problems posting pictures!

Plus one, I have to openely say I hate photos posted on photo bucket, I know, I know... But on the iPad some open, some don't, sometimes you can go through all the pics, most of the time you have to view one, close, view the next one.

This is a great site, it needs to be PAID for, take a subscription, and post your photos through the site.....when you run out of space, it is because your addicted and enjoy the site, so increase your membership level.....in boat dollars it's nothing

And if you sponsor this site at a Silver or higher level....for Pete's sake STOP using Pjhotobucket

My only issue with those from the site (and maybe I need to be educated) is that if you let your membership go, you lose the storage space. What happens to the pics then and their relationship to the threads. Many times, the pictures are critical to understanding the fix/installation/repair etc.

Use Photobucket and it is easy to post photos. I wish the site archived the photos.

Hoping you take this in the correct context, what I find is most people do not search back anyway, and just ask the same question, so many threads are repeated

We have had the discussions many times about posting in several topics, that there is no need, as most of us regulars just look at 'new posts' , so I ask the question ' if a photo of a few months or older disappears ???

No I understand and take it the right way you intended. I refer back to old posts all the time, and have actually found a ton of useful info here in old/archived posts for projects I am working on. I think there are a few types of users. Some are regulars who have been around and using the site for a long time. Others come when they have a issue they need to solve right away, and typically post a question (many of which have been answered before) just to get an answer. Then there are lurkers who never post and just use the site to read/research. Oh and maybe one other category of user that's about to buy a searay and is looking for info on the model (also typically post a new thread and get redirected to the correct thread). Bottom line is, I think when you come in new, you don't know how the site works and maybe that there are already threads on your topic. If you stick around long enough, you understand the "schema" and find more info.
