Our cablemaster operates in the middle of the night without us touching the remote or the manual switch. In other words, say, at 3am the cablemaster will start retracting for no reason. Anyone have this happen to them? Our boat is a 2002 480 CPMY, if that matters. Thanks

Do you happen to be near anything that might be transmitting a signal on the same frequency at thaqt hour? Military base, store transmitting data?

I do not have the remote (just the switch by the transom door)...... Is the remote worth it ??

A remote came with the boat so I don't know what one would cost. The remote is great because you can pay the cable out while holding the plug and moving toward the pedestal.

Thank you and I may have to invest in one....(remote) as long as it doesn't become alive in the middle of the night....
